About me

Meet the Wedding Tails team

Emma
Owner and Dog Chaperone

Hi, I am Emma and I am obsessed with dogs!

I am a qualified paediatric nurse and my current role is as a busy hospital co-ordinator.

I believe that 25 years as a nurse has helped hone my communication, time management and organisational skills. As well as ensuring the care I take of anyone, or anything, is my top priority. I am very laid back and incredibly calm under pressure.

We have always had family dogs,( you will see Olive on our social media a lot). I also have experience with dogs from my time volunteering with 'Borrow my Doggy'.

I hold a PVG and DBS certification. This allows me to use my dog chaperone services within a range of scenarios and demonstrates my commitment to working safely with vulnerable groups.

I have completed an accredited first aid and CPR course for dogs. I am also advancing my studies with the British Canine Society and completing modules in dog behaviour and reactivity.

Emily
Dog Chaperone and digital content creator

Hi, I am Emily (niece of Emma and Joanna). I have been around dogs my whole life. I am joining my aunties as a dog chaperone because I love working with animals. I am a caring person and I enjoy making dogs feel happy, safe and well looked after. We are all looking forward to working with your dogs.

We have a young puppy called Hudson, he is all over the website and social media. He loves being dressed up (unlike Olive).

I love capturing pictures and videos of your dog on your special day. As well as, walking, playing and preparing them for photos.

I have also completed an accredited first Aid and CPR course for dogs. I too, will have my PVG shortly.

Joanna
Dog Chaperone and Dog biscuit Chef

Hi, I am Joanna (Emma's sister) I have grown up with dogs by my side since I was 7 years old. Caring for them comes so natrually to me. Like them, I am affectionate, love a good cuddle and I am loyal and trustworthy to the core.

Your dog isn't just part of your day, they are part of your family. We will treat them with all the love, care and attention they deserve. You can relax knowing they're in very safe and gentle hands with us.

I also hold an accredited first aid and CPR course certification for dogs.

Additional staff

As we grow, we intend to add to our team. We have a waiting list of people who are committed to providing care to your dog on your special day.

We have many paediatric nurses ready to join our childcare branch of "Wedding tails and other stories..." in conjunction with the Care Inspectorate Scotland
